Behaviour / flows
Features and flows
Selecting a product variant
- Add to Cart is disabled when no matching variant exists or tracked stock is zero.
- For products with quantity tracking, increasing the quantity is capped at the selected variant inventory.
Engineering / decisions
Architecture and decisions
Next.js 15.1 with React 18 and TypeScript, using MUI 6, Redux Toolkit with redux-persist, and TanStack Query.
The dependency list includes Stripe, Firebase and JWT handling for sign-in.
Variant selection encoded in the URL
Attribute changes navigate to a variant ID when an exact match exists, or to individual attribute parameters when it does not. Changing attributes resets the quantity to one.
Limits / notes
Known limitations
- The screenshots show the shopping and account interfaces; live payments, sign-in and email delivery are outside the captured walkthrough.
