Behaviour / flows
Features and flows
Finding and adding products
- Pressing Enter in search opens the catalogue with the search text and selected category in the URL.
- Adding a variant rejects unavailable quantities or a conflicting fulfilment method; a successful addition opens the cart drawer.
Engineering / decisions
Architecture and decisions
Next.js 15.5 with React and TypeScript, using MUI and Tailwind CSS. State uses jotai and TanStack Query; sign-in uses the Auth.js beta.
Markdown content is shown with react-markdown.
Debounced search with category-specific cache keys
Search waits 500 milliseconds after input changes. The query key includes the selected category and debounced text; results have a five-minute stale time and do not refetch on window focus.
Limits / notes
Known limitations
- The screenshots focus on shopping flows; live maps and Markdown rendering are outside the captured walkthrough.
